Real Ideation

We live in a noisy serene environment where frownlike smiles are seen every second, an environment filled with wicked rectitude friendships. Mesmerising, isn't it? Gone are the days where simple tools were used for tough work, gone are the days where countries rose and fought against each other. Gone are the days where individuals lived in conflict and discomfort. WAIT! that came out wrong, Those days are the ones we live in. When we decided to live in "peace", which type of "peace" were we referring to? It's either there is a different meaning to "peace" or we have disguised it. We know individual prosperity is needed to make a great country but we have made friends with greediness, jealousy, and hatred which are gradually sinking us. I used to hear 'we are one people' a lot but it just seems we either had no idea what it meant or we agreed to disagree. What shall we gain from bringing others down in anyway possible? Just like that, garden of eden has been turned inside out. Who thought the once haven will be  made a hazard? It makes me so sad. Here I was, thinking innocent souls don't deserve to be here but somehow, they are here because  they have no other better place to go. Want to know  a jaw dropping fact? These souls are the ones who turned this haven into a hazard and have the guts to complain about their discomfort and safety. Yes! Just like that we've made a place that was once more beautiful than we could ever imagine, a kingdom of filth. Our clean waterbodies now  have a colour I can't even tell, due to  numerous disgusting things we have proudly and comfortably  put in,because we live in the present and don't care what happens in future. How can trees which provides oxygen! Oxygen! Wait, not any mere gas but OXYGEN! Be cut down without replacement? These same trees protect soil from erosion and provide shade. Hm! How can we not think of the future?...

They say 'good things come to those who wait' , this is a lie we need to stop telling ourselves. Flood no longer  occurs so noone talks about sanitation. We are so comfortable  with the present that we forget  about the future, the lives and properties we are protecting now, can be lost in a second but we don't think of it that way. we wait! We haven't  realised  the major cause of our diseases are from our polluted environment so we are in a weird cycle now. We get sick, take medication, feel better and fall sick again and our ignorance will make pharmaceutical  companies  rich. Sadly most literates also pollute the environment so I can't really see the margin between them and illiterates. We should know our health is our wealth and our actions affects noone but us. Some people  have assets, others  have nothing and those with assets, wake up everyday with the aim of making more of it to increase  the money they make while those with nothing, well .....same old. They keep on hoping and waiting  for a miracle but it's  best to hope and wait for a miracle when one is working on something to fetch  him money. obviously,  our mentality is the margin  that separates the rich from the poor. We all have equal time, the greatest asset one could ever have and sadly, it's  taken for granted.              Whenever great people  tell us they had this type of childhood, we get surprised and thank God since we somehow benefit from their success.  They didn't  magically  become successful but rather through someone. We see a lot of these  kids everywhere  and ignore them meanwhile we are their miracles and are the ones to help them identify  their potentials ,better their skill set ,be their source  of motivation and educate them. Without all that ,they will bury their greatness  and become a prey  to inferiority  complex. We crave for prosperity ,gender  equality ,freedom ,justice ,green pastures. We talk about each with  strong  force and anger ,but our attitude towards bringing all to reality is lackadaisical. Why is that so?. Are we waiting for someone to work on it for us? We haven't  reached our goals yet ,why have we relaxed? People still suffer ,others die because they don't have enough resources to survive and its now like we don't care anymore. We are comfortable with the current happenings because we want to be. We are just settling  for less. This is not the Africa I learnt about growing up. I know Africans wouldn't give up without a fight but here is the case nothing  similar  is being thought of. The fact that some leaders do not even believe in their people  and some people not  believing  in their leaders saddens my heart. What happened  to unity? Development is a collective activity ,the role we play affect us more. We are not just developing slowly as a result of we not playing our roles , people are losing  their lives and properties as well. Black attitude  helps to develop primary  inferiority  complex to secondary. We tell ourselves negative stories which prevent us from developing our skill set ,applying what we learn and also helping others and it 'graduates' personal problems into social problems. Instead of  getting rid of it , hard earned monies are used to solve the problems black attitude create which takes us back to where we started. Why are we allowing something to run our lives for us?
