BURIED BEAUTY

They say 'good things come to those who wait' , this is a lie we need to stop telling ourselves.
Flood no longer  occurs so noone talks about sanitation. We are so comfortable  with the present that we forget  about the future, the lives and properties we are protecting now, can be lost in a second but we don't think of it that way. we wait! We wait a bad wait, get filled with sorrow and play the blame game which we are very good at.
Has it ever occurred to you why different types of medicine are advertised each day? We haven't  realised  the major cause of our diseases are from our polluted environment so we are in a weird cycle now. We get sick, take medication, feel better and fall sick again and our ignorance will make pharmaceutical  companies  rich.
Sadly most literates also pollute the environment so I can't really see the margin between them and illiterates. We should know our health is our wealth and our actions affects noone but us.
We put up a negative attitude and expect a beautiful  and healthy environment. We compare our environment to other's and play the blame game.
Many things happen daily which can be  prevented, why do we wait untill its done?
We can make things right and  change the future.

  1. This is a call for atonement.

And as the saying goes, "the drum does not beat itself to emit sound; a drummer does."
Our environment cannot tidy itself up. We have to accept full responsibility for that!

What comes into our mind when we call a place our "Dreamland?"
And what hinders us from making our homeland our dreamland?

There's no magical formula besides the hard work.
It's the same call for the environmental scientist, the civil and geo-engineer, the lecturer, the trader, the human resource manager and even the illiterate.

    We all are involved!

ARE WE THERE YET?

We crave for prosperity ,gender  equality ,freedom ,justice ,green pastures. We talk about each with  strong  force and anger ,but our attitude towards bringing all to reality is lackadaisical. Why is that so?. Are we waiting for someone to work on it for us? We haven't  reached our goals yet ,why have we relaxed? People still suffer ,others die because they don't have enough resources to survive and its now like we don't care anymore. We are comfortable with the current happenings because we want to be. We are just settling  for less. This is not the Africa I learnt about growing up. I know Africans wouldn't give up without a fight but here is the case nothing  similar  is being thought of. The fact that some leaders do not even believe in their people  and some people not  believing  in their leaders saddens my heart. What happened  to unity? What happened  to individual  prosperity?.Why is the rate of poverty ...

LITTLE DROPS OF HEAVEN

Clearly, there is heaven on earth. You want to know how I know? Well, there are times you feel alone, times you do something great without getting an applause, times you help better the lives of others and they end up being ungrateful, times you win by the skin of your teeth, yet you don't value your efforts. We obviously allow ourselves to feel that way because we expect too much. We were placed on earth for a purpose, so, we should do our best with happiness and pleasure. You know that great feeling you get when you do something you are into, or something that influences someone or something positively? yes! That feeling. I call it little drops of heaven. It doesn't come as a result of a comment or an applause or the number of people around you. You trigger that feeling with no external factors. Imagine you do something you love everyday, Imagine you work towards archiving something you long to posses, each day. Just imagine, have You?....little drops of heaven. Wel...

A PIECE OF BLACK

I don’t know about other colors, but I know there should be a piece of black in all of us, just a piece. Without it, many people will suffer, others will starve, some might even die. Well, black here refers to all our negative attitudes. Yes! Our negative attitudes, and one of them is a piece, selfishness. We are drowning with people we are supposed to save, dying with people we are supposed to heal and crying with people we are supposed to cheer because we do not have a piece of black at that point. We are to first lay a good foundation for ourselves and later make ourselves better in order to help others reach their goals. Just like in an operating room, there are no guests or visitors allowed because the patient is going through transformation. If a house you are in catches fire to an extent, you find means of getting out then, you go for help for anyone in there, but if you try to save everyone at that point, chances are, you are all not going to make it. There are s...
