Some people have assets, others have nothing and those with assets, wake up everyday with the aim of making more of it to increase the money they make while those with nothing, well .....same old. They keep on hoping and waiting for a miracle but it's best to hope and wait for a miracle when one is working on something to fetch him money. obviously, our mentality is the margin that separates the rich from the poor. We all have equal time, the greatest asset one could ever have and sadly, it's taken for granted. I used to hear "time is money" often but now it isn't used that much and I believe it's because we don't really understand it but those who do are either successful or on their way to success. Every second counts, a lot can be done within twenty-four hours but our environment and the type of foundation we had is making it difficult for us to believe. Changes are made not inherited.
School teaches us things we should know in order to fit in the society and who we can work for when we graduate but it doesn't really teach us the different ways we can use our potentials or available resources to make money and the number of people we can save from unemployment.
We learn new things consonciously and unconsciously every twenty-four hours but why don't we apply them?
School is playing it's role in our lives, have we played ours? We all have time, equal amount of time but once we lose it, we will never regain it. Clock is ticking.
Wow! An absolutely stunning piece!
ReplyDeleteOne quote that my best teacher always told us in secondary school was: "What mortals can do for themselves, the deities( or God) have refused to do for them."
It's an undeniable fact that most poor people just sit down, wishing and hoping without putting in the energy and most at times use God to cover up their inactions that He is in control.
You've made a good observation with noticing the adage "time is money" is no longer used often because, nowadays according to the rich, the best system is the one in which you don't exchange time for money; the best systems use leverage.
And yes, if this system is said to be good, then what are the resources that would make it work?
The answer is HUMAN RESOURCE!
Human resource is the most common and yet most important fuel to the leverage system. And that's why the rich people spend their time networking to know people and how they can have some mutual benefits.
It's evident we're living in the most affluent time in all of history so, if we're unsuccessful, the problem is not from the system; THE PROBLEM IS US!
Interesting piece. It brings to mind the popular saying that ‘ time and tide waits for no Man’.
ReplyDeleteU are absolutely right
ReplyDeleteWe need to make every second of our life count.Cos we all know that time is money, and the more breaks given, the less money that is made.
